Per concludere la cerimonia dei The Game Awards 2018, è stato annunciato quale titolo ha ottenuto il premio di Game of the Year: si tratta niente di meno che di God of War, di Santa Monica Studios. Tra le altre nomination erano presenti anche Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Celeste, Marvel’s Spider-Man e Monster Hunter: World.
